Paris. The city of love, fashion, and so much history. I recently visited Paris for Mens Fashion Week and had such an amazing experience. The people there have such a warm spirit. Within the three days I spent, I romed around the city but I definitely need at lease two more weeks.
The first day I went to the Ejder and C2h4 event. If you've never been to Paris, this is one area where you really capture the youth of Paris. Kids in Supreme, Vans, Raf Simons and many more labels as equivalent to kids in New York. I also attended the Raf Simons Party, dj'ed by Virgil Abloh. Chill vibes on the rooftop of Boken Arm as I got a chance to reunite with old friends and meet new people. I also attended the Adidas Tubular event which was amazing. But the only reason you may not see any pictures, welp, my phone died (LOL). One of the many sad moments when traveling, the moment your phone cuts off (sign).
The next day, I met up with Places + Faces and shot some street style shots. Wearing my Shaun Samson Tunic Hockey Jersey for the day, we walked around the Concorde and captured some dope content. Right after, I stopped by Capsule show. Capsule is a tradeshow (like Magic in Las Vegas), where brands from all over the world show off there collection for the next season. Buyers are able to walk around and have the access to make orders for their stores. Black Fist, Second Laye, 424 on Fairfax, RHUDE Designs, and Midnight Studios were many brands presented from Los Angeles. Pigalle and Nike Lab also had their presentation that night. The setup was amazing and easily one of the most talked about. I mean, just by the pictures, you know the celebration was enjoyable. Just Don had a pop up as well as he showcased some of the most popular Just Don items. Python hats and basketball jersey shorts hung up in Le Marais as the event took for Just Don took place later that evening. From there, I met up with my friends Easy Otabor, Travis Scott and Places+Faces to attend a show Travis Scott was performing at. The venue was amazing, the crowd went crazy, and Virgil Abloh took over the DJ Booth while the crowd chanted "Virgil, Virgil!!"
Vans and Takashi Murakami also had an event in reason for their collaboration release. The venue hosted Murakami designed games as people got a chance to win a pair of Vans, a t-shirt, or a Takashi and Vans skate deck as sold at Colette. Takashi took the time to sign merchandise and really give a personal experience to the attendees. My only question, how do I get one of those surfboards???? After that party, the after parties took place at the Givenchy party and the next night at Dior. And of course, I have no phone life the capture the moment. On the other hand, not having access to my phone made me enjoy the moments even more.
I joined my brother from another mother, Easy Otabor to look at a few brands such as Phillip Lim. After, it was nothing but sight seeing and Parisian vibes the last hours in Paris. Like a tourist, I just had to visit the Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower. Paris really knows how to capture you with its architecture and it easily made my list of top cities to visit. What a trip!
